THIRSTING FOR GOD: DR. RAMON CANALS CALLS BELIEVERS TO DEEP PERSONAL RENEWAL

Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria – July 1, 2026 – Against the backdrop of a world grappling with uncertainty, discouragement, and fractured hope, Dr. Ramon Canals, Director of the General Conference Ministerial Association, calls delegates to deep personal renewal through Bible Study while delivering the devotional on Day 3 of the West-Central Africa Division (WAD) Bible Conference and Leadership Summit. Drawing from Psalm 63:1–11, he urged Christians to rediscover the transforming power of personal engagement with Scripture.
Sharing from his own spiritual journey, Dr. Canals described how daily meditation on the psalm continually revealed new insights, speaking directly into his life situations. “I think those words want everyone to go to the heart of David,” he reflected, emphasizing that the Bible must be befriended and read personally—not outsourced to artificial intelligence—so that its truth can grip the heart as it did his.
He reminded delegates that what we dwell on shapes who we become, and that believers can remain the happiest people in the world because they have a loving God. Whether facing family struggles, health crises, financial challenges, or discouragement, Dr. Canals urged participants to take their burdens to Jesus, affirming that “nothing is beyond God’s care if we trust Him.”
For those tempted to despair, he offered a message of hope: the answer is not escape or self- destruction, but Christ Himself. “Let not your heart be troubled. Jesus is coming to take us where He is,” he declared, assuring that the Alpha and Omega remains the ultimate solution, no matter how dark life may seem.
