The Djoungolo Adventist Church in Yaoundé hosted, on Sabbath, January 24, 2026, the installation ceremony of the newly elected administrators of the West-Central Cameroon Union Mission (WCCUM). The event took place during a solemn worship service presided over by Pastor Dr. Bassey UDOH, President of the West-Central Africa Division (WAD) of Seventh-day Adventists, in the presence of the Executive Secretary, Vincent-Roger SAME, and the Treasurer, Dickson SARFO MARFO, of the Division.

Before an estimated congregation of three thousand members, Pastor Omer Aristide NKONDA, Union President; pastor Guy-Josia NDOMBO, Executive Secretary; and pastor Yves Stéphane KEMDJE, Treasurer, pledged to serve God after the reading of their respective responsibilities. Their term of office runs from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2030.

This installation service marked the close of the WCCUM General Assembly, held under the theme “United for the Mission.” With a membership of 57,537, the West-Central Cameroon Union Mission, headquartered in Yaoundé, has set itself the challenge of reaching 100,000 members by 2030. The WCCUM currently comprises four Conferences: South-Central (11,401 members), Nyong-Afamba (16,380 members), Mbam-Sanaga (19,880 members), and West Cameroon Conference (9,876 members); 88 ordained pastors, 30 licensed pastors, 452 organized churches and 253 groups, five secondary schools, one university, and a publishing house.

It should be recalled that the year 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the introduction of the Adventist message in Cameroon by the American pioneer missionaries W. H. Anderson and T. M. French.
