 WAD Departments Join Forces for Camporee 2023

Pastor Alfred Kwasi Asiem, director of the Youth Ministries Department of the West-Central Africa Division (WAD), has sought the support of the Communication Department within the same institution for the media coverage of the scout camporee scheduled for December 23 to 30, 2023, at the Valley View University campus in Accra, Ghana. Other departments have also been called upon to contribute.
This strategic decision reflects the commitment to create an exceptional experience for the expected participants from 22 countries within the Division and beyond.
The Division's Communication team arrived in Ghana on Friday night at 11:00 PM. Their participation aims to strengthen the already in-place team, bringing valuable expertise to ensure the success of this major event. The Executive Secretary of WAD, Dr. Sessou Selom, and Associate Treasurer of WAD, Camporee Financial Manager, Afolayan Olatunde, are already on-site. Many other Division staff will join the team.
The goal of this collaboration goes beyond logistics and planning. Indeed, Pastor Alfred Kwasi Asiem recognizes the crucial importance of communication to make Camporee 2023 accessible to a wider audience. Thus, by God's grace, the highlights of the camp will be broadcast live on HOPE CHANNEL Ghana, providing comprehensive coverage of the event.
This broadcast will not be limited to traditional television, as all social media platforms of the Division will be mobilized to share the event in real-time. Captivating images and engaging videos will be streamed, creating an immersive experience for those who cannot be physically present.
This collaboration demonstrates the commitment of the Division's administration to create meaningful experiences for its youth. Camporee 2023 is shaping up to be a flagship event with the participation of over 8,000 young people.
