HONORING THE FATHERS
Women’s Ministries Department of the West Central Africa Division organized special celebration of fathers in WAD Office. Dr Omobonike Sessou, director of the department lead a special service during morning devotion on Tuesday June 27, 2023.
"A father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way" – She quoted an unknown author to start her short message. She also quoted Ellen White: "The husband is the house-band of the home treasures, binding by his strong, earnest, devoted affection the members of the household, mother and children, together in the strongest bonds of union" (Adventist Home, 211.2)
SATAN'S ATTACK AGAINST FATHERS IS UNDOUBTEDLY FIERCE.
Facts speak louder about the importance of a father:
Home without Father = Broken Home
Broken Home = Broken Church / Broken Society
That is why a father must be controlled by the love and fear of God. He must be guided by the teaching of God’s word. Special prayers were offered in favor of all the fathers in the world and at the Division office. At the end, all the fathers received special gifts.
