SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST LEADERS MEET WITH DIGNITARIES

On November 07, 2018, the West-Central Africa Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Religious Liberty Department of the Division, organized a special Dinner with some Authorities of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire in Azalaï Hotel, Abidjan.

This meeting was intended to create awareness of who we are as a religious body and to establish a cordial relationship with the Authorities of the Land.

We had the luxury of inviting Ambassadors, Ministers, Interpol officials, and Leaders of the various NGO’s. A special video folder entitled “We Share Hope” with emphasis on who are the Adventists, and a set of religious books were presented to all the guests.

We also used the opportunity to emphasize on a spirit of commitment and service in various communities.

We also presented Trophy to Mr. Jean-Philippe Padonou a Special Adviser of the Head of State of Niger, for his great contribution in helping communities in his country.

The President for the West-Central Africa Division, Pastor Dr. Elie Weick, addressing the audience said that, the Seventh-day Adventist Church is a family where members are working together in order to give hope to other. Elder Emanuel Manu, the Treasurer of the Division thanked the Authorities in supporting the Church in various ways.

This dinner though being the very first one in the history of the West-Central Africa Division had been a good experience. We need more initiatives because one cannot measure the results from such an experience," said Pr. Koch, the Director of the Public Affairs and Religious Liberty.
